Didn’t I tell you that Melai or Melisa will be the PBB Double Up Big Winner? I was so sure when I wrote the post about it. Although, at the time Paul Jake and Melai were left, there was a little chance that Papa Paul Jake will win. However, if that would be the case, I don’t mind either. Love ko din si Paul Jake. But, as Melai always say, mayaman na si Paul Jake and being the big winner will only give him pride and honor to his family.

February 7, 2010 – Sunday at 11:45 am ASAP XV In our case, we had watched the most anticipated show every Sunday at 2:15 pm. We have a late telecast, even Singapore and Philippines don’t have time difference, so to speak. Anyway, I must say, this was the “best” ASAP show ever, to date. Ganda ng opening. Ganda ng mga production numbers.

This is a must-see movie of all time! I love Vilma Santos. Aside from the fact that she’s our beloved governor (I’m so proud, thank you very much), she’s a remarkable actress. I’m not so sure if it’s only me, but sometimes I thought she’s my mom. (Ha-ha! Love you mom!). Well, my mom kind of resembles Ate V.
This is not a typical Tagalog movie. Definitely, the banal comedy, unreal love teams’ twee Tums portrayals and reprehensible action stunts are sooo out. This is the era of creativity, reality and soul. If the film producers will not carefully act on giving Filipino viewers what their one-hundred-fifty-pesos-theater-ticket deserves, I’m absolutely certain the industry will fall. Why? There are dozens of impeccable foreign movies. There is also tons of Captain Hook, who continuously offering people affordable pre-screen-viewing. There are so many reasons and I bet they already knew about them.
Anyway, did I say I love the movie? Ah-ah! Indeed, I love it. I adore the story. The characters’ portrayals are incredible. The story mainly talks about the struggle and shortcomings of a single mom, a gay son, a gay lover, an OFW and a good son. To be honest, it’s quite a nightmare to explain the plot because there are lots of narratives that comprise the whole movie. There are so many unexplainable emotions that will suddenly burst while watching the film. It touches the heart at different levels; relationships, failures, redeeming yourself, dying and about life.
I’m giving this movie five stars overall. Kudos to Filipino Movies!
