Because of social media — everything becomes handy; asking somewhat out, hooking up, staying in a relationship for five years and ending the relationship too. I’m not saying that all of these things have been done by Derek Ramsay nor Angelica Panganiban. On one way or another, they have used social media to bring updates about their relationship.

As usual, it started as a blind item. Then, I’m not really sure of the details, perhaps someone in the entertainment media revealed the names of celebrity couple who are struggling to continue the romantic relationship. Now, Derek Ramsay confirmed his breakup with actress Angelica Panganiban after denying the issue for a month or so.

Derek, who recently transferred to TV5 ‘Kapatid’ Network, finally broke his silence about his rumored split with Angelica Panganiban:

“Guys we truly appreciate all ur concerns. Even though angel and I are no longer together we still have the utmost respect for one another.” Derek Ramsay (@IAm DerekRamsay) tweeted about four hours ago, and later asked the public to respect their decision.

“I’m not proud of the breakup! How I wish things were different. I can’t be selfish and consider only my feelings,” Derek tweeted later, noting to one of his Twitter followers that Angelica has always been supportive of everything he does.

So what happened to John Lloyd and Sam Pinto being drag along to this issue?

“No truth to the rumors about Sam Pinto and I. We did a commercial last year but that’s it. Let’s respect Sam and stop all these rumors,” he said.

“Guys please don’t believe any of the rumors about Angel and John Lloyd. They did scenes for a movie and that’s it. That’s the truth,” Ramsay said.

Hmmmp! So what is the reason for the break-up? Is Derek getting tired of it? Or Angelica is tired because they can’t get married until Derek’s first marriage is annulled? Or maybe, they just feel that they need space and realize they are not for each other.

Well, people breaks up guys!
