Sisters Jennifer Lopez and Lynda Lopez Make Rare Public Appearance Together
Enough of divorce and faux pas wardrobe malfunction for Ms. Lopez — time for altruism!
Jennifer Lopez and her younger sister Lynda made a rare public appearance together in an event on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, as shown in the photo below.
As noted at US news sites, sisters Jennifer and Lynda Lopez attended a special event together in a Best Buy store in Los Angeles that day, concerning their Maribel Foundation.
According to reports, the Lopez sisters made a short speech separately as their Samsung and Best Buy partnered with them and pledged to donate $500,000 to their foundation which they started in 2009.
As stated by Maribel Foundation on their official website, their goal is to improve the health and well-being of women and children, and to expand the number of telemedicine clinics in the US and abroad.
Jennifer Lopez (or J-Lo), 42, one of the judges of American Idol and was recently seen crying while performing in a concert, wore a powder blue dress that night, with cut-outs at the back.
On the other hand, 40-year old Lynda Lopez (also called Ly-Lo) wore and olive green short dress with long-sleeves and plunging neckline; and hugged her sister on stage during the event.
Lynda Lopez has worked for several news and entertainment television stations as a broadcast journalist and won an Emmy Award in 2001 for ‘Outstanding Morning News Program’.
She has a daughter named Lucie Wren Lopez Goldfried, who was born on August 28, 2008, with boyfriend Adam Goldfried. Lynda is currently working at WCBS-AM as an anchor.
