Is it because Gerard Anderson and Sarah Geronimo have no chemistry or we just love John Lloyd Cruz so much?

Thanks to my unapologetic diarrhea for barging in, I was able to watch the first team up movie of Gerard Anderson and Sarah Geronimo, ‘Catch Me I’m In Love!’ However, I’m kinda regretting I took a time off to watch the movie. Well, I was thinking to give some credit to Sarah Geronimo and perhaps, I’m kinda miss watching her on a big screen. But honestly, I’m not expecting anything when I watch the movie. I was hoping though that it would surprise me a little.

The movie is okay – but not okay with big okay. Fair enough for casting big stars like Christopher de Leon, Dawn Zulueta and Joey Marquez. The story line is mediocre and high-school-like-twee-tums! To add, I don’t think the two main actors literally talk or act together. Sarah Geronimo is okay — she can aptly carried on what she did on the past two Box Office Movies with John Lloyd Cruz. But Gerard? What is he doing? He was like on a fashion photo shoot all the time. He can barely express what he should portrayed as a presidential son who fall in-love with a commoner. He was trying hard to be matured, to be in-love with Sarah Geronimo and to actually act and be an actor. Sorry to Gerard fans. I didn’t mean it. I’m entitled with my own opinion. Probably, if this movie is an action-slash-romantic movie – it will fit him!

The movie was actually saved by Janus del Prado. He was really funny and made such comical adlibs that lighten up the dismay of the audience. I feel awkward seeing Matteo Guidicelli so tanned on big screen. Is he trying to look a pure-blood-Malayan Pinoy?

After watching the almost 2-hour movie, my sister commented, “I think this movie would be better off if John Lloyd was on it”. Maybe its true — John Lloyd Cruz is a good actor that he can make a flopped movie a Box-Office Hit.  Bravo!

So, should I recommend this movie to be watched? Hmmmp! Well, you can watch it though – but on SM Cinemas and pay a minimum amount of movie ticket. Don’t spend so much for sure seats and Taters popcorn.
