How to Auto-post Your Blog to Facebook and Twitter

I’ve been doing a lot of things these past few days. I started my own ‘Movie List’ website, wherein all the upcoming and anticipated movies will be found. I’m a certified movie-fanatic and compiling all of these is fascinating and rewarding to me. If you’ll visit the website now — you can tell that it’s really young and I even started to include Movies of 2011 and of course, without any historical movies or any Oscar-winning-movies.

So, I’ve busy promoting my new website. I signed up to both Twitter and Facebook Page, which are the most popular networking site today. Since I’m not using WordPress, I’ve been struggling on how to auto-post my blog to both Facebook and Twitter. I’m not lazy okay — I’m just trying to maximize the automation and advanced technology of things

I first tried the Twitterfeed — but quite crappy because you wouldn’t know why it’s not working or maybe Twitter totally removed all the sync-thing of third party websites.

So, I kept on searching and searching… AND I FOUND ONE. Thanks to NetworkedBlog! If you’ve been struggling as well, I can help you with that! Here are the steps and please follow religiously! :) You need three things before you execute these steps: 1) Facebook, 2) Twitter and 3) Google Feedburner or any ATOM or RSS feeds.

  1. Log into your Facebook account.
  2. Use the search box to locate the app ‘Networked Blogs’.
  3. From the app, click on the link to Register a Blog and input the details for your blog. Include the blog name, URL and description. Be sure to also input topics so that your blog is easy to find. The form allows you to input three different categories or topics.
  4. Once your blog is registered, click on Edit Details to add your RSS or ATOM feed. This is an important step as it’s what triggers Networked Blogs to gather the details of your latest blog post.
  5. Go back to your newly created profile page on Networked blogs and select Syndication, located on the top right. You’ll need to check the box that says ‘auto-publish to personal profile’ for your latest blog posts to show up on your wall.

You may also want to take a few moments to fill out additional details on your new Networked Blogs profile page. There’s an About Me section that is great for adding more information regarding you and what your blog about.

  6. Publish a test blog post to make sure your syndication is working correctly. If so, you’re done! Each time you create a new blog post — VIOLA! It will automatically post on your Facebook profile wall.
