Singapore Salary Guide: Is there anyone adhere anyway?
For foreigners (like myself), the first thing in mind when “salary” will be the core of attempt to get out of their own country on the first place is to get any amount higher than what they were previously getting! Although, some people would actually consider working overseas because of some good stuff and perks brought by friends and opportunities that they are really missing. It’s honestly case to case basis.
I didn’t know that a Salary Guide is actually existed. The next question would be — Who’s getting a salary that within this range anyway (I would haunt down anyone who say yes)!
Headhunters and Job Sites are releasing a yearly Salary Guide which is based on survey or sample that they conducted. This might be through the applicants’ asking salary when they are seeking for new job or job hop, so to speak.
But, regardless of what salary ranges they will provide – money, really, will never be enough! We might be getting 200% of what we are getting today, and still we will have some balls to complain. Come on! At least you still can see numbers on the screen when you check your DBS account at the ATM. If this will be never be enough to pay credit card bills, phone bills or any bills that are brought by dispensable pleasure – honey, it’s no one’s fault. You can blame credit card companies if you want. Just for the sake of having someone to blame for.
If you’re still curious about the Salary Range, regardless of your tired of your job or pissed off with your boss, Robert Half is proactively publishing the Salary Guide.
