It’s been more than a month after Sarah Geronimo went to USA for her The Next One US Concert tour with Billy Crawford, Mark Bautista and Charlie Green. Didn’t I tell you that my week isn’t complete if I wasn’t able to watch ASAP with Sarah Geronimo’s performances? Indeed I am a fan. So, just imagine how would be my week look like if it’s a holiday, and the famous show every Sunday in the Philippines was a replay. It’s like hell. Even if the stars of ABS-CBN are tremendously talented, it really didn’t compensate the absence of Sarah on the show.
Anyway, because of longing and some plus of boredom, I’m listing my Top 10 of Sarah Geronimo’ Performances. I might only include those she sang in ASAP. It might take a long list if I will include her guest appearances, concerts and other outstanding performances.
#10 Irreplaceable. This song has been the National Anthem I think. I remembered that when this was first on the radio, everyone was singing it. It even had an alter-version of “to the right, to the right.” This rendition of Sarah Geronimo was the first performance she did for “The Other Side of Sarah Geronimo” segment in ASAP’07.
#9 I believe. This song was popularized by Fantasia of American Idol Season 3. I really like this song and Sarah’s version. It was totally different.
#8 Single Ladies. Sarah performed with Shaina Magdayao and Maja Salvador. This was the first time they actually are on the same production number, aside on the concert The Next One. Then right after this performance, some copycat did the same thing by the rival-variety-show (you know that right!)
#7 Decode. This is another outstanding performance. It really showed her talent in singing, acting and projecting. The good thing about Sarah, she really felt the song, connected with it and totally sing her heart out. Unfortunately, she slipped at the end of this video. Luckily, it didn’t hurt…. Still at poise!
#6 Last Time. I heard this song many times. However, only the time this was sung by Sarah that I fell in love with it. I made a little research and found out that this was originally sung by Eric Benet. This is definitely a great song to sing. I wish I can make this as my soundtrack… whoever he is!
#5 One Day I’ll Fly Away. I got goose bumps when I heard this rendition. If you’re going to close your eyes, you’ll going to mistakenly guess that it was Nicole Kidman from the movie soundtrack of Moulin Rouge.
#4 I Don’t Wanna Wait. Who doesn’t love Dawson’s Creek. 5 stars for bringing back the soundtrack of my olden days!
#3 No Air. This showed the really other side of Sarah Geronimo. She really can dance! This only proved how talented she is.
#2 Dangerous. I keep replaying this video over and over again. As far as I wanted to memorize the whole “rap thing”… I really can’t do it. She can sing, she can dance and she can rap. What else she can’t do?
#1 Disturbia. Have seen a totally mind boggling performance? I mean, you totally admire something to great and admirable that you keep on mentioning how great it was. You’ve been mesmerized by what you saw and tell yourself, “I wanna be like her!” Well, that was exactly I felt and did. I know, I am a fan.
I know my Top 10 isn’t enough. I might be doing Part 2 of my Favorites!
