When I first arrived on my office, at a multinational company, I noticed at reception area the cozy furniture set and reckoned that it’s almost the same furniture Brad Pitt had given Angelina Jolie. Few months ago before I saw those furniture, I already watched the story about the famous Pinoy who made those bed bought by Brad Pitt. He is Kenneth Cobonpue. He’s truly Pinoy, a Cebuano actually.

Kenneth matriculated from Pratt Institute in New York. He was inspired by his Mom, who’s a designer too, to make use of our famous rattan in furniture making. With Kenneth’s artistic minds, he makes it possible to add distinctive features simple furniture must possess and be converted to native but elegant fixture.

Kenneth’s works have been featured to different international magazine and can be seen to famous Hollywood movies like Ocean’s Thirteen. The great thing about it, is not only knowing the Filipino talent worldwide but also, Kenneth had promoted his craft and brought his co-Cebuanos jobs. The manufacturing of his furniture are done in Cebu, his hometown.

This is another Pinoy’s Pride.
